FEMSOFT Insert
The FemSoft Insert, shown in Figure 2, is covered with a thin silicone sleeve filled with mineral oil. The sleeve makes it soft and comfortable. The softness of the FemSoft Insert allows it to conform to the anatomy of the urethra and the junction of the urethra and bladder to prevent urine leakage. The FemSoft Insert is supplied installed on an “applicator” for ready use. When the FemSoft Insert is in place in the urethra a “balloon” holds it in position. To remove the FemSoft Insert, a woman simply grasps the “external retainer” and pulls it out slowly and gently.
